Every year or season as I like to call the year, the Mayto area continues to develop as more people are discovering this amazing place south of Puerto Vallarta. A place of pristine beaches, very few people, a fishing village in a beautiful bay, and friendly people that welcome you to their paradise – hard to find places like this. The Mayto and Tehuamixtle areas are about a two-hour drive from Puerto Vallarta. Take highway 200 to El Tuito and from there find the road to Mayto.
It was time to do a BEST of Mayto Area, so a sampling of experiences, comments and opinions produced the following list. Things are always changing – so don’t be upset if you do not agree. Just have fun and enjoy the area. Also, it is worth mentioning that the road-surfacing project from El Tuito to Mayto is now on the last sections. Soon it will be a smooth drive all the way from Vallarta.

Enjoy the month!
